In addition to working with 50 Cent, DJ Drama is gearing up for another "Gangsta Grillz" mixtape with Atlanta MC, Young Jeezy.

The pair supplemented the marketing of Young Jeezy's first and second albums, "Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101" and "The Inspiration," with mixtapes sold hand-to-hand. The tapes became so popular that titles like "DJ Drama - Gangsta Grillz presents Trap Or Die" were sold at major retailers including Best Buy and Now, as Jeezy quietly records his third album, Drama says the pair preparing for their next duet, though no release date has been set.

On January 16, 2007, DJ Drama and partner DJ Don Cannon were arrested on felony charges stemming from a magistrate's warrant under the Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act by the Morrow County Sheriff's Joint Vice Task Force and the Clayton County Police (both in Georgia). The officers reportedly confiscated more than 81,000 mixtape CDs, along with computers, recording equipment and four cars. The assets of DJ Drama's DJ crew, the Aphilliates, were also frozen. Thus far, neither DJ Drama or DJ Don Cannon have been formally charged.

DJ Drama released his debut major label LP "Drama Gangsta Grillz: The Album" on December 4, 2007. The title has sold 162,000 copies to-date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
