R&B singer Bobby Valentino signed a distribution deal with EMI Global Music Services for his Blu Kolla Dreams imprint. The first album released will be Valentino's "The Rebirth," slated for a late 2008 street date.

"With Blu Kolla Dreams, I have the opportunity to step out on faith and use the knowledge and experience that I have gained to take my career to the next level," said the former Def Jam/Disturbin' Tha Peace signee via a statement.

EMI Global Music Services is EMI Music's third party and independent label unit; it will distribute the Blu Kolla Dreams imprint in US and Canada as well as provide marketing and promotional support.

"The Rebirth" will be Valentino's third album - following his 2005 self-titled debut and last year's "Special Occasion," which have sold 708,000 and 270,000 copies in the United States, respectively, according to Nielsen Soundscan. Recently, Valentino released an EP titled "Come With Me," available on his MySpace and iTunes, and can be heard on Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" album via "Mrs. Officer."
