Retailer Ritmo Latino and bilingual entertainment channel MTV Tr3s have launched a marketing partnership that places MTV Tr3s-branded sections in all of Ritmo's stores nationwide.

The sections will feature product from MTV Tr3s' top 20 videos. In addition, MTV Tr3s has rolled out TV promo spots around its six-week "Descubre y Download" campaigns for developing artists. Beginning with Mexican artists Ximena SariƱana and Diego, the spots feature lengthy interviews with the artists selected for the multi-platform campaign, and are followed by a tagline that reads, "Album available at Ritmo Latino."

Other cross-promotional plans include taping of segments of MTV Tr3s shows such as "Karlifornia" and "Sucker Free Latino" at Ritmo locations.

MTV Tr3s launched in 2006 with branded sections at Wal-Mart. The channel and Ritmo Latino presented their marketing partnership at Ritmo's annual buyers' convention in Los Angeles today (Aug. 6).
