Billboard has joined forces with Latin concert promotion association Promotores Unidos and AEG Live to produce Billboard Regional Mexicano Noche Premmusa.

The event, taking place Oct. 8 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, will feature performances by the top names in the genre, including Conjunto Primavera, Banda El Recodo, Grupo Intocable, Alacranes Musical, Los Rieleros del Norte, Tucanes de Tijuana and Germán Montero, among others.

The Billboard Regional Mexicano Noche Premmusa caps off Billboard's Regional Mexican Music Summit, taking place October 6-8 in Los Angeles. Now in its third year, the summit is the only business-to-business event dedicated exclusively to regional Mexican music, the top selling genre of Latin music in the United States.

The partnership between Billboard, AEG Live and Promotores Unidos, who represent the top names in regional Mexican music, underscores the mutual commitment to give visibility and credibility to the genre.

As part of the Billboard Regional Mexicano Noche Premmusa, Promotores Unidos will recognize the musical excellence of artists, soloists and groups in the Regional Mexican music genre and its sub genres of norteño, banda, duranguense and sierreño.

"We want to recognize regional Mexican acts in the way the deserve," says Ivan Fernández, president of Promotores Unidos. "These are groups who play 50-60 shows, every year. They sustain our industry."

"It's the first time we're able to use a platform like this to bring prestige to the genre," adds Rebecca León, VP of Latin talent for AEG Live.

The Billboard Regional Mexicano Noche Premmusa will be hosted by well-known Mexican TV personality Adal Ramones, singer/actress Ninel Conde and TV/radio personality Erika Garza "La Huerquilla." It will also feature a special tribute to José Alfredo Jiménez with performances by Graciela Beltrán and Pablo Montero.

Tickets for the event go on sale Aug. 23 on Ticketmaster and, Ritmo Latino and Tiendas La Curacao.
