José Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad” leads the list of ASCAP’s most-played Latin Chirstmas songs of the year. The ASCAP tally, which measures airplay from Oct. 1, 2008 through Dec. 11, 2008, found that, as in years past, “Feliz Navidad” is by far the most popular Latin holiday song on the air. Although many artists have recorded “Feliz Navidad,” the original version, by Feliciano, continues being the most popular. The song is also No. 15 among ASCAP’s five most played Christmas songs of any genre.

Following “Feliz Navidad” in popularity is “El Burrito de Belén,” “Blanca Navidad” (the Spanish-language version of Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas”), “Los Peces en el Río” by Carlos Gómez García and Marco Antonio Solís' “Himno a la Humanidad de Los Bukis.”
