The day before Indianapolis’ local Univision broadcast affiliate was scheduled to stop airing the Spanish-language network, cable company Comcast has picked up Univision’s national feed, reports the Indianapolis Star.

Hundreds of thousands of Univision viewers in the Midwestern city were not going to be able to watch the network, since local station WIIH was switching its programming to that of its local CBS-affiliated sister station.

But Comcast, which had previously relied on WIIH for its Univision signal, is now picking up Univision’s national feed and will broadcast it to cable customers with a converter box and subscribers to its Hispanic package. Comcast will provide free converters for a year.
