Nominees for Canada's Juno awards were announced today with Nickelback leading the way with five nominations, followed by roots rocker Sam Roberts with four and Céline Dion and Hedley with three a piece.

The winners will be announced at a two-day event starting on March 28 in Vancouver, with the second night being televised. Tickets for the event go on sale Saturday.

Nickelback's five nominations including Juno Fan Choice, single of the year, album of the year, group of the year and Jack Richardson Producer of the Year (with Joey Moi for the songs "Gotta Be Somebody" and "Something in Your Mouth" off the "Dark Horse" album.) Nickelback will also perform at the awards.

Sam Roberts was nominated in four categories, including artist of the year, rock album of the year and two nominations in the same category for video of the year for the songs "Detroit '67" and "Them Kids." Dion and Hedley both received nods for Juno Fan Choice award, while Dion received nominations for single of the year and music DVD of the year. Hedley's other nominations were for album of the year and songwriter of the year.

Other performers announced today include Dallas Green's City and Colour and Montreal pop-punkers Simple Plan.
