- A collection of record labels is suing German digital music service provider Songbeat for copyright infringement. The service lets users search the Web for music, and download up to 25 songs a month for free.

- Mobile media network GoTV has launched a suite of music applications for the iPhone. The iPhone app combines several of GoTV's music channels, including those dedicated to hip-hop, Latin, rock and country.
