The big story in this week’s Latin Airplay charts is Nelly Furtado’s “Manos
al Aire,” which saw a 60% or more increase in all Latin airplay charts
except regional Mexican airplay. On the Hot Latin Songs chart, “Manos” went from 30 to 13 in its third week on the chart. On the Latin Pop Airplay chart, “Manos” jumped 14-5, marking Furtado’s solo debut in the top 10.

In other Latin chart news, Jenni Rivera’s new single, “Ovarios” (Ovaries),
debuted at No. 22 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and jumped from 29 to 13 on the regional Mexican Airplay chart. This is Rivera’s thirteenth top 20 song on the regional Mexican Airplay chart, which ties her with the late Selena for the most Top 20s by a female artist on that chart.

Other women on the chart are, of course, Shakira at No. 2 on Hot Latin Songs with “Loba” and Paulina Rubio, now at No. 4 with “Causa y Efecto” after crowning the chart for five weeks at No. 1.
