-Chris Syler, co-writer of Tony Dize's "El Doctorado," has signed a co-publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The Miami-based singer-songwriter, who is half Bolivian, has also co-authored songs for bachata artist Optimo. Syler is affiliated with SESAC Latina for performance rights. "El Doctorado" is No. 21 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart.

-Top Stop Music has signed a distribution deal with Sony Music Latin. The label, founded by tropical producer Sergio George and formerly distributed by indie Select-O-Hits, is home to salsa artists Luis Enrique and La India.
