- Colombian singer-songwriter Jorge Villamizar has signed a new worldwide management deal with The Sixth House. The next solo album from the ex-Bacilos frontman, who just won a Latin Grammy for his co-write of Luis Enrique's "Yo No Sé Mañana," is due on Warner late this year. Villamizar comes to The Sixth House, which also represents ex-RBD member Anahi, after being represented in Colombia by Bogota-based Cabeza de Raton. The latter firm will co-manage Villamizar in Colombia until the summer, at which point the local agreement may be extended.

- MTV Latin America has promoted Pablo Szneiberg to the newly-created position of vice president of original content development. Szneiberg was most recently director of development for Nickelodeon Latin America, where he helped develop hit tween novela "Isa TKM." His Nickelodeon duties now extend to MTV and VH1 Latin America.

Based in Miami, Szneiberg reports to Tatiana Rodriguez, senior VP of programming and creative strategy for Nickelodeon Latin America, and Fernando Gaston, senior VP of content MTV and VH1 Latin America.

- Capitol Latin/EMI and Q Productions, the production company founded by Abraham Quintanilla, are commemorating the 15th anniversary of the death of tejano star Selena Quintanilla with "La Leyenda," a new 4-CD boxed set, 2-disc deluxe set and single-disc hits collection Mar. 9. The boxed set (MSRP $93.99, though retailers set their own prices) contains one disc each of cumbia/pop, tejano/rancheras, English songs and live songs, and includes a charm and a bound book with photos and messages from Selena's family, friends and fans. The music and book will also be available digitally.
