Michelle Williams, the third member of the Beyonce-headed group Destiny's Child, has parted ways with her management company, Mathew Knowles' Music World Entertainment.

"After much prayer and consideration I have decided to part ways from my
management team, Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment," Williams said in a statement. "From my time in Destiny's Child to my solo career, I am grateful for everything Mathew and his team has done for me. We've shared great success together. However, as I move in a new direction in my career, I felt it was time. I wish Mathew Knowles and the Music World Entertainment family all the best."

Fellow Destiny's Child member, Kelly Rowland, also parted ways with Knowles' management group back in January, stating: "Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment teak will always be my family."

Williams last album, 2008's "Unexpected," has sold 32,000 copies in the
United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan. She is said to be working
on her as-yet-untitled fourth studio album and is currently making her
run on the Broadway circuit playing the part of Roxie Hart in the
musical "Chicago." Her seven-week engagement will start on Feb. 8
through March 28 at the Ambassador Theater in New York.
