Dominican star Juan Luis Guerra will host a benefit concert for Haiti in Santo Domingo’s Olympic Stadium April 18. The show will feature performances by Guerra along with a handful of other stars with whom he’s collaborated in other philanthropic ventures, including Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bosé, Juanes, Luis Fonsi and Enrique Iglesias. Dominican artists Milly Quezada and Johnny Ventura will also perform.

The show, called “Un Canto de Esperanza por Haiti” (A Song of Hope for Haiti) will raise funds to build a children's hospital in the neighboring country. Guerra has long run his own foundation benefiting children in the Dominican Republic and has been honored with Billboard’s Spirit of Hope Award for his work. This show specifically will raise funds for Haiti but in keeping with the spirit of his Juan Luis Guerra Foundation.
