Take That and U.K. solo star Cheryl Cole are among the music acts set to perform at this year's Royal Variety Performance, held at the London Palladium, Dec. 9.

Performing alongside Take That and Cheryl Cole, whose sophomore studio set "Messy Little Raindrops" (Polydor/Universal) debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. albums chart this week, will be U.K. urban act N-Dubz, who inked a U.S. label deal with Island Def Jam earlier this year.

British classical crossover star Russell Watson will also perform at the Royal Variety show, which will be hosted by comedian Michael McIntyre and be broadcast on national TV station BBC 1.

In related Take That news, today (Nov. 10) marked the start of the band's iTunes takeover promotion, which the sees the five-piece group offer 30-second previews of tracks from its forthcoming studio set "Progress" (Polydor), due Nov. 15, as well as deliver insights into the individual band member's favorite songs, albums and TV shows.
