Radio Disney and Disney Channel have selected three teen pop singers, a country vocalists and a band to compete in the channel's fourth annual "N.B.T." (Next Big Thing) contest.

Having launched the careers of Hollywood Records' Allstar Weekend and Kicking Daisies, a teen band on this year's Vans Warped Tour, the 10-week "N.B.T." begins Oct. 14 across TV, radio and Internet platforms. Competing this year will be the pop singers Zach Montana, 13, from Tampa, Fla.; Ladina Spence, 16, an L.A. resident from Germany; and Shealeigh, 13, from Chicago. Also competing are Tay Barton, 15, a native of Salt Lake City who sings country, and Hollywood Ending, a pop/rock quintet whose members are between 16 and 18 and hail from Maryland, New York, New Jersey and the U.K.

Over the course of 10 weeks, Radio Disney and Disney Channel audiences vote on their favorites at RadioDisney.com, the Radio Disney Facebook page and via text message. Disney Music Group will release a single from the winner.

Each artist will receive equal play and exposure, and at the end of each round, will face elimination based on listener votes. Listeners will be allowed one registered vote per artist per day per format. The winner will be crowned in December.

During the competition, each artist will have a single on the Radio Disney playlist, and participate in on-air interviews and performances. Disney Channel will profile each artist in interstitials. The artists will each have two full songs, exclusive videos, photos and bios on RadioDisney.com.
