Andrew Kronfeld Named Universal Music President of Global Marketing

Universal Music Group has promoted Andrew Kronfeld, 42, to the newly created position of President, Global Marketing. For the past two years, Mr. Kronfeld, has served as Executive Vice President, International Marketing, UMGI.

Mr. Kronfeld will report to Max Hole, Chief Operating Officer, Universal Music Group International.

In this new post, Mr. Kronfeld, will be responsible for developing and driving unified, global marketing strategies and coordinating the release, promotion and marketing of all UMG's international frontline and catalogue priorities. Mr. Kronfeld will also oversee Cooperative Music, UMG's alternative international licensing organization, and for the development of rock label Spinefarm. He will continue to be based in New York and London.

Mr. Kronfeld has held marketing and senior management posts at Island Records, Universal Motown Records, and Universal Music Group International. He joined Universal Music in 1991, and his tenure
