Jenni Rivera, Cristian Castro Both Have Top 10 Albums on Billboard Latin Chart; Romeo Santos Holds No. 1

In a rare occurrence on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart, two artists find themselves with two albums simultaneously on the top 10 of this week's tally: Jenni Rivera and Cristian Castro, both Universal Music Latin acts (Rivera on Fonovisa and Castro on Universal Music Latino) have scored double whammies on the chart's top 10. Rivera's new set, "Joyas Prestadas," debuted at No. 2 on the chart, behind Romeo Santos' "Formula, Vol. 1" (Sony), which remains firmly entrenched at No. 1. Rivera's banda set was accompanied by another, pop version of the same album, which was sold separately and debuts at No. 4.

Meanwhile, Castro continues his most successful year ever on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart. His new set, "Mi Amigo El Principe: La Historia Continúa: Viva el Principe. Vol. II," which debuted at No. 1 last month, is at No. 5 , immediately followed by "Viva El Príncipe," which Castro released a full year ago. It's the first time two acts have each placed a pair of titles in the top 10 of Top Latin Albums since the week of August 2, 2008, when Vicente Fernandez and Marco Antonio Solis both doubled up.

As far as Romeo Santos, his success on Top Latin Albums is almost parallel to his success on the Hot Latin Songs chart, where his song "Promise," featuring Usher, is at No. 2, dropping from No. 1 last week. "Promise" is also at No. 2 on the Latin Digital Songs chart, only behind the unstoppable "Danza Kuduro" by Don Omar, featuring Lucenzo.

Topping the Hot Latin Songs for a third week is Maná, featuring Prince Royce, with "El Verdadero Amor Perdona." The song garners 16.39 million audience impressions (up 27% according to Nielsen BDS), which is the largest single-week audience sum this year, surpassing Romeo Santos' "You" from the chart dated June 25. Since 2007, the only other band with a bigger frame (aside from Mana, which notched seven greater weeks in the span) was Conjunto Primavera on March 17, 2007, with "Ese" (17.34 million).
