Vevo has launched its mobile website, which now allows visitors access to its archive of more than 50,000 music videos without having to download one of its apps, a development first reported at TechCrunch.
While it still may be easier -- and quicker -- to grab one of Vevo's apps for iOs, Android, Blackberry Playbook, or Windows Phone 7, or even check out videos on YouTube's official app, which partners with Vevo, the company has given its fans another option for accessing music videos on the go. Previously, their mobile site would simply redirect visitors to a page offering the option to download any of its apps, but Vevo has now debuted a mobile-friendly site that allows visitors to use their site as they would on any computer, playing videos straight off the web.
The company also stated on their blog that users can access their video playlists and also share their activity with friends through the mobile web offering. Links from Facebook or Twitter apps will open in the web browser and play videos automatically.
