Mark Pitts has been named president of urban music for Zomba Label Group (ZLG). Pitts reports to Barry Weiss, president and CEO of ZLG, and is based in New York.

Most previously, Pitts served as senior VP of ZLG, joining the label in 2004 from Arista as an A&R executive. Prior to his stint at Arista, Pitts managed several artists including Notorious B.I.G.

Currently, Pitts is working on Usher's follow-up to "Confessions," and Chris Brown's sophomore album.
