Alvaro Rizo, president of EMI Music Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru has left his post, has learned.

EMI had not announced a replacement at press time.

Rizo has spent nine years heading EMI's Colombian operation. During that time, he became known as one of the country's leading proponents of home grown talent, many of whom went on to successful international careers.
