Mitch Wolk has been promoted to president of the Alternative Distribution Alliance. He will report to Andy Allen, who - after coming back from a seven-month leave of absence - has been named chairman of independent music for the Warner Music Group.

Allen had been president of ADA since May of 1993 and left in November to take some time off for sailing. During Allen's leave of absence, Wolk had been overseeing ADA as executive VP. He was appointed to that position in 2006, after joining the WMG in 2005.
