Warner Bros. Nashville VP of sales and marketing Peter Strickland has been named senior VP for the department. A 20-plus year Warner and WEA veteran, Strickland has worked with Faith Hill, Big & Rich, Blake Shelton, Travis Tritt and Jeff Foxworthy, among others.

"Peter has been fearless steering us through both the old and new markets with a mix of new ideas and some great music," WRN executive VP Bill Bennett said in a prepared statement. "I am proud to announce his promotion on behalf of his hard work and determination."

Strickland is also heavily involved in Jack Records, the comedy label Warner Bros. formed in 2004, which serves as home to Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall and Lisa Lampanelli.
