Marketing veteran Jon Elliot will assume full responsibility for Arista Nashville's artist roster in his redefined role as VP of marketing and artist development for the label.

His previous title, VP of marketing and artist development at RCA Records Label/Arista Nashville, had aligned him with selected artists on both imprints. Elliot will now be responsible for all marketing initiatives related to Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, and newcomers Jason Michael Carroll and Keith Anderson.

As previously reported, Arista Nashville senior director of marketing and artist development Cindy Mabe recently segued to Capitol Records Nashville as VP of marketing.

Joining RCA Records in New York in 1994 as manager of sales and advertising, Elliot moved to Nashville as associate director of artist development for RCA in 1998. He was promoted to senior director in 2000, and again to VP in 2003.
