Garth Brooks will be presented with Academy of Country Music Crystal Milestone Award during the 43rd Annual ACM Awards on May 18.

The award is given to an artist or industry leader to commemorate a specific, remarkable achievement. Gayle Holcomb of the William Morris Agency was recognized last year for her service to the academy as chairman of the board.

In this case, Brooks is being recognized for 123 million in unit sales, according the Record Industry Association of America. Brooks has been certified the top-selling solo artist in U.S. history.

Brooks has won a total of eighteen Academy of Country Music Awards throughout his career, including artist of the decade in 1998. He has also won two Grammys, 11 Country Music Association Awards and 36 Billboard Music Awards, among others.

The show will air live on CBS on Sunday, May 18 at 8:00 p.m. ET from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Brooks will perform a special medley of his greatest hits during the telecast.

His most recent single, "Midnight Sun," is at No. 38 on Hot Country Songs.
