Sony Pictures has landed the film rights to the Broadway-bound musical Once Upon a One More Time, which is set to Britney Spears' greatest hits.

The plot centers on a book club of princesses, including Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, who are given copies of feminist manifesto The Feminine Mystique by a fairy godmother.

Spears is signed on to produce the film adaptation, alongside her manager Larry Rudolph and John Davis’ Davis Entertainment.

The stage version -- which will feature classic Spears songs like "Oops! I Did It Again," "Lucky" and "Toxic" -- is currently in the works, boasting an original book by Jon Hartmere and direction from Rock of Ages' Kristin Hanggi. The show is slated to run at Chicago's James M. Nederlander theater Oct. 29 through Dec. 1 before heading to Broadway next year.
