Taylor Swift landed the number one spot on The Most Influential Women on Twitter 2018 list, published by social media analysis company Brandwatch on Wednesday (Nov. 28).
Though Swift only posted 13 original tweets (all of which were shared in the first half of the year), the 28-year-old singer scored an influencer score of 98, surpassing Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato and Ellen Degeneres. While the numbers are calculated based on a variety of Twitter metrics, they are mostly based on the influencers’ genuine engagement.
So what did Swift post that generated so much interaction? Swift promoted her “Delicate” music video five times, her Reputation Stadium Tour three times, her “End Game” music video twice and her Spotify playlist once. She also praised James Bay’s cover of “Delicate” and shared her brother’s movie Cover Versions.
Both the former One Direction singer and Swift emerged at the top of their lists, despite not appearing in the top 10 last year.
