Ariana Grande, Drake & Ella Mai are among Shazam's picks for Song of the Summer dominance.

By the end of this summer, Billboard will have crowned its annual Song of the Summer victor, with the weekly Songs of the Summer chart tracking the 20 top hits on the Billboard Hot 100 (combining radio airplay, sales and streams) stretching from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

Who will reign over everyone else once summer ends and fall begins? Everyone has their opinion, including Shazam.

The music discovery app on Wednesday (June 6) revealed its predictions for this year's song of the summer in the wake of last year's victor, "Despacito." Using its tagging data, Shazam is banking on a few songs -- some of which are already in the Hot 100's top 10, some not -- to get a hold on what will be the biggest hit from June to September.

“This year’s list is a mix of fantastic tracks from artists making big returns -- including Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Drake -- along with global superstars teaming up for stunning collaborations,” Julian Marshall, Shazam's global head of content, said about the list. “The combinations of Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa, Nicky Jam and J Balvin, and David Guetta with Sia are proving irresistible to Shazam users this summer. It’ll be interesting to see who among them ends up with the most Shazamed summer track of 2018.”

Their picks include 10 songs, five of which are already inside the Hot 100's top 10. That includes Drake's "Nice for What" and Childish Gambino's "This Is America," six- and two-week No. 1s thus far, respectively, as well as Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left to Cry" (No. 3, May 5-dated chart), Cardi B, Bad Bunny & Balvin's "I Like It" (No. 7, June 9) and newcomer Ella Mai's "Boo'd Up" (No. 8, June 2).

But if you're looking for more of a sleeper hit currently outside the top 10, there's rising country hit "Tequila" by Dan + Shay (No. 4, Hot Country Songs, June 9) and early May's Hot Latin Songs No. 1 "X" by Nicky Jam & J Balvin. A trio of dance hits round out the list: Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa's "One Kiss" (No. 2, Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, April 21), Clean Bandit's "Solo" featuring Demi Lovato (No. 6, Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, June 2) and David Guetta & Sia's "Flames" (No. 9, Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, April 7).

As for the official Song of the Summer race, keep your eye on Billboard.com for the weekly chart arriving soon, culminating with the winner after Memorial Day.
