Fans who have been pining for the release of Eminem's forthcoming album Revival can finally rejoice: The album has an official release date. Dr. Dre, who executive produced Em's upcoming album, shared the date in a fake prescription drug commercial posted to his Instagram account on Tuesday (Nov. 28).
In the clip, an actor by the name of Trevor is seen parodying a pharmaceutical advertisement as he says, "You've spent the past few weeks hearing about Revival and how you can treat moderate to severe Atrox Rithimus. Well, today I have great news for all of you suffering from AR."
Trevor then reveals that "Revival isn't a medication at all, Revival is the name of an album, and it's coming out December 15," with a news ticker at the bottom of the video that reads, "Revival is an album," just for added comedic effect.
Following Em's scathing BET Hip-Hop Awards freestyle, anticipation for new material reached an all-time high and seemingly heightened after he dropped the Beyoncé-featuring "Walk on Water," the only track released from the rapper's upcoming album so far.
Revival will be Eminem's first LP since 2013's The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
