Former Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid was spotted at an Apple Music launch party for the new Carpool Karaoke series on Monday night, which seems to be his first public appearance since his tumultuous departure from Epic Records in May amid an accusation of sexual harassment.
Reid exited his position as chairman and CEO of the Sony-owned label in May, following a claim made against him by one of his female assistants. He has assumed a low profile since, but was photographed with veteran record producer Jimmy Iovine, NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal, Def Jam's Russell Simmons and Andre Harrell of Uptown Records at the Carpool Karaoke premiere event.
Also in attendance were indie-rock trio Haim, Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe and more.
Reid's goodbye after six years at Epic came through a one-sentence press release on May 11. Reid has yet to announce his next move.
