The new label will sign 'digital-first' talent.
Disney Music Group with Chris Rojas and Meridith Valiando Rojas, the co-founders of DigiTour Media, today announced the formation of their new label, RMI Recordings which will sign “digital-first” talent.
DigiTour Media, wihich was founded in 2010 by former music A&R executive Valiando Rojas and music producer Rojas, produces live experiences with social media stars geared towards Gen Z and Millennial audiences. The company produces concerts (DigiTours) and festivals (DigiFests) and has partnered with such brands as Coca-Cola, Verizon, State Farm, Iconix Brand Group, Invisalign, Intel and YouTube.
"It’s an honor to be working with Chris and Meridith, who are such creative entrepreneurs in the digital universe,” said Disney Music Group President, Ken Bunt in a statement. “They both have an astute understanding of how to connect with audiences around the world, and we are looking forward to building a label that serves that next generation of talent.”
Disney Music Group is home to Hollywood Records, Walt Disney Records, Disney Music Publishing, Buena Vista Records, and Disney Concerts. The labels’ rosters include Demi Lovato, Jordan Fisher, Sofia Carson, ZZ Ward, R5, Ocean Park Standoff and Breaking Benjamin among many others.

The deal also includes a publishing arm with multi-platinum producer/songwriter Chris Rojas, who has written and produced for P!nk, Flo-Rida, Backstreet Boys and Vanessa Hudgens among others. He most recently wrote and produced social media star Jacob Sartorius' Last Text EP which debuted atop the iTunes chart. He also co-produced the song for Coca-Cola’s #MakeItHappy digital SuperBowl spot featuring Jordin Sparks, Bea Miller and Victoria Justice.
Meridith Valiando Rojas is a former record and publishing A&R executive and music manager and an expert on Gen-Z and the digital generation.
Together the husband-and-wife team have produced over 300 live events for the teen market and helped to launch the careers of many artists.
