Plus, David Guetta teams with Justin Bieber for his latest hit, while Dua Lipa leads Dance Club Songs.
Major Lazer leaps onto Top Dance/Electronic Albums (dated June 24) at No. 3 with Know No Better. The new EP is the Diplo-fronted act's fifth top 10, and is the follow-up to its 2015 No. 1 full-length Peace Is the Mission. The new set earned 8,000 equivalent album units, including 1,000 from traditional album sales -- the latter being fodder for a 9-3 move on the exclusively sales-based Dance/Electronic Album Sales chart -- in the week ending June 8, according to Nielsen Music. (The album reached the list a week earlier after pre-street date sales pushed the title onto the tally.)
Concurrently, the title track, featuring Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo, soars 39-11 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, collecting 5.9 million U.S. streams and selling 8,000 downloads, figures that also make for a No. 9 debut on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs and a 20-10 surge on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales.
Plus, two additional Know tracks start on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs: "Buscando Huellas," featuring J Balvin and Sean Paul (No. 37), and "Particula," featuring Nasty C, Ice Prince, Patoranking and Jidenna (No. 42).
‘Something’ Steps Back to No. 1: The Chainsmokers & Coldplay zip to the top of Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, revisiting No. 1 for an 11th cumulative week with “Something Just Like This” (2-1). The track sold 45,000 downloads (down one percent), also good for a 2-1 climb on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales, the song’s eleventh total week at No. 1 there. Furthermore, “Something” holds at No. 1 for a seventh straight week on Dance/Mix Show Airplay and holds at No. 2 on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs, where it’s amassed seven weeks at the top (16 million domestic streams, up slightly).
Guetta and Bieber Arrive: Additionally on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, David Guetta grabs the Hot Shot Debut with "2U," featuring Justin Bieber (No. 17). Released on June 9, the track bows from three days of radio play (21 million in all-format airplay audience in the week ending June 11), ahead of its first week of streaming and sales tracking (ending June 15). Guetta earns his 24th chart entry, tying Avicii for second-most in the chart's four-year history; Skrillex leads with 25.
Dua Lipa Dances to Second No. 1: On Dance Club Songs, London-based Dua Lipa lurches 2-1 with "Be the One." Remixed by Netsky, Paul Damixie and Ten Ven, among others, "One" is Dua Lipa's second leader, following "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)" in January. Rihanna is the only other act to secure more than one No. 1 so far in 2017.
