Each week, Billboard Dance looks at songs & albums rising on Billboard's dance charts.
Ferry Corsten, Blueprint
Dutch trance master Ferry Corsten earns his first top 10 on Dance/Electronic Album Sales, as Blueprint bows at No. 7 (on the June 17-dated lts). The set, which features collaborations with Gouryella, Eric Lumiere and Haliene, to name a few, notably features voiceover intros and outros on most tracks. Blueprint marks Corsten's seventh appearance on the chart, dating to his first, 2003's Mixed Live…Spundae, LA, and his first in seven years, since 2010's Once Upon a Night. Corsten has also logged two Dance/Mix Show Airplay top 10s: "Fire" (No. 6, 2006) and "Hyper Love," featuring Nat Dunn (No. 10, 2010).
Tritonal, "Hey Mamama"
Austin-based trance/house duo Tritonal (Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed) traipses onto Dance/Mix Show Airplay at No. 39 with "Hey Mamama." Built on the chorus of Dream Academy's 1986 No. 7 Billboard Hot 100 hit "Life in a Northern Town," Tritonal's track follows in the footsteps of Dario G's Dance Club Songs 1998 No. 1, "Sunchyme," which similarly turned the hook into a club banger. Tritonal's eighth chart hit draws core-dance radio airplay from KNHC (C89.5) Seattle, WFLZ-HD Tampa, Florida (an iHeartRadio Evolution affiliate) and SiriusXM's BPM.
Fenix featuring Chris Casino, "All Around the World"
Moscow-based DJ Fenix (real name: Alex Mamonov) enters Dance Club Songs at No. 47 with "All Around the World." Featuring the vocals of New Jersey native Chris Casino, the track marks the first Billboard chart visit for both acts. Remixes from Kue, Dan Thomas and Liam Keegan & David Nye, among others, help propel the debut.
Fenix tells Billboard, "'All Around the World' came out of meeting Casino last year in New York. The track relates to everyone looking for a perfect match, whether in personal or creative relationships. It's an honor to see the track crack the Billboard charts, a huge validation for the direction I've taken with my music and career thus far."
