As the mercury rises and the party action heats up, Spotify is serving up its own sizzling predictions for your soundtrack to the summer season.  

The streaming giant’s Songs of Summer hitlist is shaped by insights from its genre and trend experts, data analysis, and factors such as a song’s performance on the charts, Spotify playlists, longevity and, of course, social media.
 
“From Selena Gomez’s saucy new track ‘Bad Liar’ to Imagine Dragons’ ‘Thunder”, these are the songs already heating up playlists and climbing charts,” comments Shanon Cook, Spotify’s trends expert. “There’s a good chance somewhere on this list is the track we’ll be crowning the song of the summer by the end of August.”
