Illenium & Kerli, "Sound of Walking Away"
Denver-based DJ/producer Illenium (aka Nick Miller) and Estonian singer Kerli debut at No. 50 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated May 20) with "Sound of Walking Away." It's the third chart entry for Illenium, whose "Feel Good" (by Gryffin and Illenium featuring Daya) hit No. 17 on March 25. "Sound" is the fourth chart appearance for Kerli, who has topped Dance Club Songs with "Army of Love" (2011) and "The Lucky Ones" (2013). "Sound" scored 502,000 U.S. streams in the week ending May 4, according to Nielsen Music.
Steve Kroeger x Skye Holland, "Coastline"
Producer Kroeger and singer Holland bow at No. 38 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay with "Coastline," the third chart hit for each act, who have teamed on all three, although "Coastline" is the first on which the artists share equal billing. Previously, "We Are United [Come On]" peaked at No. 38 in 2015 and "Waiting for the Break," No. 31, in 2016, both billed as by Kroeger featuring Holland. Airplay leaders on "Coastline" include core-dance outlets WFLZ-HD Tampa, Florida (an iHeartRadio Evolution affiliate), KNHC (C89.5) Seattle and Music Choice's Dance/EDM channel.
Bright Light Bright Light, Cinematography 2: Back In The Habit (EP)
Bright Light Bright Light (aka Welsh singer Rod Thomas) starts on Dance/Electronic Album Sales at No. 14 with Cinematography 2: Back in the Habit. It's the third chart appearance for the act and follow-up to its first Cinematography EP, which hit No. 23 in December. Spotlighting songs from movies and TV shows that influenced the act, Cinematography 2 includes an electro-pop cover of Madonna's nearly 30-year-old "Causing a Commotion."; the second single from the Who's That Girl soundtrack rose to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for Madonna in 1987. Cinematography 2 also sports remakes of Starship's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" and Lisa Loeb & Nine Stories' "Stay (I Missed You)," originally Hot 100 No. 1s for those acts in 1987 and 1994, respectively.
