J Balvin and Nicky Jam not only gushed about being on Billboard's cover and making that dream come true together during the "Mano a Mano" panel Wednesday (April 26) at the Billboard Latin Music Conference, the chart-topping artists and best friends also dropped some beats during the full-house Q&A.

Below, we break down five key moments and highlights from the Balvin and Nicky Jam panel.

Billboard cover = dream come true

"We made history. Two Latin urban singers on the cover of Billboard is incredible. I'm proud of myself, I'm proud of J Balvin, our music and of all Latinos," Nicky Jam said, with the "Ginza" singer adding, "I'm so grateful to have my brother with me on this cover."

"Despacirrrooo"

One of the best moments during the panel was when the two superstars started singing "Despacito" and acknowledged Justin Bieber for singing in Español. "We're not trying to offend anyone. We love you Justin, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee."

"Hey Ma" Improv

When J Balvin talked about singing in English for the first time in the "Hey Ma" collab with Pitbull and Camila Cabello, Nicky Jam provided the beat so Balvin could sing the hook of the upbeat track. "Nicky Jam called me and he told me it was a really good song," Balvin said.

How we make music

Both chart-topping artists talked about the importance of collaborating with songwriters like Mosty, Sky and Bull Nene to write their lyrics and working with producers like Saga WhiteBlack. "When I want to make music, I create the beat first then I add the lyrics," Nicky Jam explains. J Balvin says, "I sit with my team and start improvising."
