The team behind Coachella has announced a new two-day festival slated for June 24-25 in Pasadena, California, called Arroyo Seco Weekend that will feature sets from Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Alabama Shakes, The Meters, Mumford & Sons, Weezer, The Shins and others. The latest effort from promoter Goldenvoice will take place at the Rose Bowl and is described as "a world class culture event featuring three stages of live music along with curated menus from LA's celebrated restaurants and chefs plus craft beer & wine."
Single-day, two-day and VIP passes will go on sale on March 20 at 11 a.m. local time. Among the other bands on the bill are: Broken Social Scene, Andrew Bird, Dawes, Live, Charles Bradley and his Extraordinaires, Fitz & the Tantrums, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Galactic and actor Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.
Food and drink will be provided by chefs including Bruce Kalman, Dakota Weiss, Ilan Hall, Jason Neroni, Marcel Vigneron and others, with food from Barrel & Ashes, Beer Belly, Broken Spanish, Dog Haus, Fat Dragon, Frankland Crab & Co., Fritzi Coop and many more.
