Linkin Park debuted its new single, "Heavy," featuring Kiiara on Thursday morning (Feb. 16) and fans immediately responded to the pop/R&B-influenced song, sending it rocketing to the top of the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart around 8 a.m. EST.

Meanwhile, The Weeknd released the official video for "Reminder" about an hour earlier, which drove the song from his album Starboy, to No. 1 shortly thereafter.

The Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart measures the real-time acceleration of conversation around artists and their music on Twitter.

"Heavy" is Linkin Park's first piece of new music since 2014 and serves as a preview of the veteran rock band's seventh studio album, One More Light, due May 19. The group premiered the song on Facebook Live in a stripped-down live performance, along with a Q&A with fans.

Already a top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, having debuted (and peaked so far) at No. 31 on Dec. 17, 2016, the week that Starboy debuted atop the Billboard 200, "Reminder" re-emerges as a favorite from the set. The Weeknd took to Twitter to remind his fans to watch the new video in honor of his 27th birthday on Feb. 16.
