Jawbone has reportedly put its speaker business up for sale, in order to focus exclusively on health and wearables.
Fortune reported the news Friday (May 27), though Jawbone declined to comment. The move does not come as a great surprise, as it has been speculated since the company's U.S. speaker market share decreased to 5 percent last year.
Since 2010, Jawbone has been well known for its wireless Bluetooth speakers, but the market has become saturated with competition.
The company launched its first non-audio product, a wearable activity tracker, in November 2011.
