Empire executive music producer Timbaland will do a keynote interview at ASCAP’s 2016 I Create Music Expo. The 11th annual conference takes places April 28-30 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles.
Timbaland, whose afternoon session is set for April 29, is a five-time ASCAP songwriter of the year honoree and a three-time Grammy Award winner. The songwriter/producer’s lengthy list of credits includes Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love” featuring Jay Z, Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River” and "SexyBack" (and many more), and Missy Elliott’s Supa Dupa Fly album, in addition to collaborations with Drake, Rihanna, Kanye West, Usher, Alicia Keys and Madonna, among others. As a solo artist, his credits include the platinum-selling album Shock Value and the Billboard Hot 100 hits “Give It to Me” featuring Nelly Furtado and Timberlake, “Apologize (Remix)” featuring OneRepublic and “The Way I Are” featuring Keri Hilson.
Also newly added to ASCAP's "I Create Music" lineup: Brian McKnight, Grammy-nominated newcomer Andra Day and songwriter LaShawn Daniels (Lady Gaga’s “Telephone,” Destiny Child’s “Say My Name”). They join previously announced session participants including Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley, OMI, Melissa Etheridge, Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Warryn & Erica Campbell and pioneering hip-hop trio Salt-N-Pepa.
