Days after riding along on Swizz Beatz's party bus for Canon's "Rebel with a Cause" campaign, Billboard reconnected with the superproducer and art junkie on the West Coast to discuss his contributions to Pepsi's Kola House pop-up party at San Francisco's Pier 70 in celebration of Super Bowl 50.

Stepping into the artistic space for the soft launch evoked the spirit of an artsy wonderland with vibrant paintings, experimental decor and an interactive Super Bowl 50-inspired installation helmed by artists Jeremy Fish and Sam Flores, who added onto to the larger-than-life design as the good times rolled on Friday night (Feb. 5). In addition to being a curator, Swizz Beatz also dished out the jams during his DJ set including tunes from halftime show headliners like Beyonce and Bruno Mars

Before the party's kick-off, Swizzy name-dropped another rock star who contributed to the vision of the Kola House, set to launch its flagship spot in New York City. 

"Not only being the ambassador but being a co-partner with Lenny Kravitz to bring something to the creative world," Swizz told Billboard about his artistic duties and of the guitar hero, whose interior design firm, Kravitz Design Inc., steered the space's concept and aesthetic. "All of the artists, all of the creatives are going to have their own hangout place inspired by great foods, great drinks, great connectivity. Kola House is going to be epic."

While the Bronx-bred beatsmith didn't hog the credit for the idea (or pick favorites in the Denver Broncos versus Carolina Panthers matchup), he says that the soon-to-be Meatpacking District location will be a hot spot perfect for every day of the week. "We’re at Super Bowl 50 and it feels like it’s just a spot for the moment -- no, this is a spot that’s gonna relive on a Wednesday when nothing’s going on," he added. "This might even be happening on a Tuesday. This is the place to go to just have that vibe."

Lisle Richards and Eric Marx of esteemed hospitality group The Metric also partnered with Pepsi for Kola House, which will also serve up culinary treats and cocktails inspired by the kola nut. The venue's doors are expected to open in Spring 2016.
