Carly Rae Jepsen has canceled her concert in Bucharest scheduled for Thursday night (Nov. 5) after a pyrotechnic show at Romania's Colectiv nightclub sparked a deadly fire that claimed at least 32 lives and left some 130 hospitalized last week.
Jepsen announced the cancellation on Twitter:
Out of respect to everyone affected by the tragic fire, my concert in Bucharest won't be taking place today. Sending so much love to Romania

In addition, government opposition has had tensions running high in Romania, and Friday’s tragedy fueled spontaneous demonstrations on Tuesday. More than 20,000 people took the streets of Bucharest, according to The New York Times.
As a result, Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced the resignation of his government on Wednesday.
