The latest viral dance craze, @iHeartMemphis’ “Hit the Quan,” took only four weeks to reach the top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. It climbs 15-8 (chart dated Sept. 12), with airplay, digital sales and streaming numbers up across the board. Over on the Billboard Hot 100, it bounds 41-23 in its second charting week.

Aiding in its arrival into the top 10, the song was streamed 9.8 million times in the U.S. during the latest tracking week (ending Aug. 28), a 64 percent increase (according to Nielsen Music). Nearly 87 percent of streams stem from YouTube views, where numerous users have uploaded clips dancing to the track.

“Hit the Quan” sold 33,000 downloads during the tracking week ending Aug. 28 (up 15 percent). It jumps 13-7 on Rap Digital Songs, earning its best sales peak yet.

The rapid rise of the track sparks the rapper’s debut on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, which ranks the top artists across all genres by music consumption and social metrics, where he arrives at No. 70.

Fetty Wap Makes His ‘Way’ To No. 1: Fetty Wap earns his second Rhythmic Songs No. 1, as “My Way” hops 4-1 in its 12th week on the airplay chart. A 10 percent increase in spins at the format pushes the track to the top. The rapper first crowned the list with his breakout hit “Trap Queen” (chart dated May 23), where it stayed for two straight weeks. “My Way” continues at No. 4 on Hot Rap Songs -- where he made history (chart dated Aug. 29), becoming the only act to have his or her first four charting tracks in the top 10 simultaneously.

Jeremih Soars With ‘Planes’: Jeremih scores two new airplay No. 1s, as “Planes” featuring J. Cole tops Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (rising 3-1) and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay (2-1), marking his fourth and third chart-topping trips, respectively (and J. Cole’s third and second). “Planes” likewise scales Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, where it hops 19-15, reaching a new peak in its 25th week. A 3 percent increase in weekly streams, to 3.4 million, supports the climb -- with 54 percent of total clicks deriving coming from Spotify.
