The Sunset Strip Music Festival is reportedly over after a seven year run.

Is the Party Over for the Sunset Strip's Rock 'n' Roll Scene?

The West Hollywood, Calif., celebration on the iconic Sunset Boulevard brought on Nederlander Concerts to book and promote last year's event with headliners Jane's Addiction and Empire of the Sun. But, according to Buzzbands.LA, poor turnout has brought the party to an end.

An email to the Sunset Strip Business Association, which runs the festival, was not immediately returned.

Last October's Sunset Strip Music Festival posted losses triple those of 2013's event, totaling $1.045 million -- following previous losses of $350,000 in 2013 and $432,000 in 2012.

The festival began in 2008 to celebrate Sunset Boulevard's place in popular music's history and has been staged each year since by the Sunset Strip Business Association. The association is funded by a fee levied on local businesses along the Sunset Strip.
