"Renegades," X Ambassadors' first entry on Billboard’s Alternative Songs airplay tally, makes a notable move, roaring 14-8 in just its fourth week on the list (dated May 30).

The last band to zoom to the top 10 so quickly on its first try? The Jack White-led Raconteurs with "Steady, As She Goes" in 2006, on its way to the No. 1 spot. One needs to go back four more years for the previous such flight: in 2002, Zwan (including The Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan) reached the top 10 in its fourth week with the eventual No. 7-peaking "Honestly."

"We're trying not to get too caught up in everything," X Ambassadors vocalist Sam Harris tells Billboard. "We're just glad people like ['Renegades'] and that it's having a positive effect on them.""Renegades" additionally placed at No. 3 on the March Billboard & Clio Music's Top Commercials ranking, powered by Shazam, thanks to its sync in a Jeep ad. On Hot Rock Songs, the track peaked at No. 5 on the chart dated May 16.

The Ithaca, New York band, which also reached No. 10 on Hot Rock Songs in 2014 with the Jamie N Commons collaboration "Jungle" (driven largely by sales and streaming), releases its first full-length, VHS, on June 30.

Pilots' Takeoff: Also entering the Alternative Songs top 10 is Twenty One Pilots' "Tear in My Heart" (13-10), the duo's third top 10 at the format. Its prior two entries each reached No. 10: "Holding On to You" in 2013 and "House of Gold" last year.

The track also rebounds 15-13 on Hot Rock Songs (after peaking at No. 8 in late April). The Ohio duo's second release on Fueled by Ramen and fourth studio album, Blurryface, is due to make a splashy debut on next week's Billboard 200.Standing Tall: On Folk Albums, The Tallest Man on Earth, aka Swedish singer/songwriter Kristian Matsson, notches its first No. 1 as Dark Bird Is Home starts with 8,000 sold, according to Nielsen Music. His fourth full-length album also marks his first top 10 on Top Rock Albums (No. 8), although it starts with smaller sales than previous release, 2012's There's No Leaving Now, which began at No. 14 on Top Rock Albums and No. 2 on Folk Albums with 12,000 sold.
