Move over, bottle waitresses: Jay Z's Manhattan 40/40 Club is transitioning from nightlife destination to talk-show set. Well, at least until the bar opens.
Time Inc. announced a number of new plans for original video content in its recently released newfront. Included in the planned programming, which ranges from sports to reality to pop culture, is a talk show called 40/40 Live, hosted by the WNBA's Skylar Diggins and focusing on "the worlds of hip-hop and sports celebrity." Co-produced by Jay Z's media group Life+Times, the show will "provide a fresh and unfiltered conversation around sports, fame, music."
Time's new digital video initiative will create content for the group's sites, as well as for syndication by Amazon and CBS.
