The session will be hosted by Sony/ATV Music Publishing and moderated by Billboard’s Leila Cobo.

“Throughout his fantastic career Luis Fonsi has proven again and again that in addition to being an amazing artist, he is also an incredible songwriter, having written some of his biggest hits, including the beautiful and incredible Billboard Song of the Decade, ‘No Me Doy Por Vencido,’ in addition to great songs for other artists,” said Jorge Mejia, executive vice president, Latin America & U.S. Latin at Sony/ATV Music Publishing. “We very much look forward to hearing about Fonsi's creative process in writing the hits we all know and love.”

Besides being a hit songwriter, Fonsi is an award-winning singer, instrumentalist and producer from Puerto Rico who has been making music for 17 years. A leader in Latin pop, he set the record for longest-running No. 1 on Latin Pop Airplay when “No Me Doy Por Vencido” spent 30 weeks at the top of the chart. Last summer, Fonsi released his eighth studio album, 8, which debuted at No. 1 in nine countries, including the U.S. In all, Fonsi has had 17 songs in the Top 10 and 4 No. 1s on the Latin Pop Airplay chart. He’s also had three albums reach No. 1 on the Top Latin Albums chart, and seven that have broken the top 10.

Fonsi is the latest addition to an already stellar line-up of guest speakers for this year’s conference, including Romeo Santos for the “Star Q&A,” as well as Carlos Santana for the “Legends Q&A,” and the Latin Divas panel featuring Kany Garcia, Ivy Queen, Sofia Reyes, Rosana, and Ha*Ash.
