Drake season has begun. Universal Music confirms with Billboard that Drake will release his first single off his forthcoming third album on the night of the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 10.
The song's title is unconfirmed at press time, but is rumored to be either "The Start From the Bottom" or "Started From the Bottom."
Meanwhile, Cash Money Records co-CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams told Billboard recently that Grammy night will be "the highlight of their life."
"This year we got something in store. We got a new record coming out this year. It's just one of those nights that, after seeing each other together, that'll be like the highlight of our night, the highlight of our life, the highlight of our year," Williams said.
Early this month, photos surfaced of Drake and director Little X on the set of a video shoot, possibly for "The Start Up From The Bottom." Donning all white, the rapper was seen riding around in a droptop car.
It's been over a year since Drake released his Billboard No. 1 album, Take Care, selling 1.9 million copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Take Care spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
