A slew of musicians came out to L.A.’s Fonda Theater on Oct. 2 to salute Social Distortion's Mike Ness at the first annual Rock To Recovery, a benefit helping musicians with their sobriety. Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington and Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst appeared and sat down with Billboard.
Playing the main stage of Coachella on day three of the festival, Brooklyn duo Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino came in with similar objectives as they explained from the stage. Following their energetic opener, “It’s Alright,” Johnson told the crowd about how they’d last played Coachella in 2010 and he still remembered that show six years later. So his goal on this night was to have another show they’d remember six years later.
