A total of 26 new titles will be inducted
Blondie’s “Heart of Glass,” the Grateful Dead’s American Beauty album, the O’Jays’ “For the Love of Money,” Fleetwood Mac’s eponymous 1975 album and Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful” are among the 26 new recordings that will be inducted into The Recording Academy’s Grammy Hall of Fame in 2016. Now in its 43rd year, the Grammy Hall of Fame brings to 1,013 its total number of honored titles.
“It’s very nice to be included in such incredible company,” says Blondie’s Deborah Harry. “’Heart of Glass’ has lived through quite a few incarnations, and now to become a part of history is just perfectly delicious.” Adds Eddie Levert of the O’Jays, “It makes us feel very blessed and excited that after so many years our music still brings joy to fans around the world.”
