We'll breakdown 1998, but you can relive all the Hot 100's number one hits year by year:

In 1998, Titanic swept the Oscars, and along with the film's success, its Celine Dion-crooned theme song, "My Heart Will Go On," triumphed on the Hot 100 charts. In the same year that Dion's iconic ballad was released, America also found itself getting jiggy with a number of hot tracks, including Will Smith's "Big Willie Style" single and a particular Brandy & Monica song that held onto the top spot for much of the year.
